How to Bluetooth to Razr Phone for Internet

To get your cell phone and your internet to be synced together with the Bluetooth’s is pretty simple. For your PC or Mac follow these directions. On menu options on your Razr phone, go to settings-connection-Bluetooth link-setup-find me. In about 60 seconds your phone should get a signal and your computer should recognize your phone. When you are setting up your internet for your computer how you do it depends on what type of operating system you have, a PC with Windows Vista or a Mac with OS. For a PC running Vista, here are the steps you take so your phone and PC work together.
1. Click the start button, click control panel, click printers and other hardware, click Bluetooth devices
2. Click add and then follow the directions that the screen gives.
For your Mac running on an OSX operating system follow these steps.
1. Open applications-utilities-Bluetooth setup assistant
2. Select the “mobile phone” device type
3. Complete the pairing process
By following these directions you can now use your phone as a modem for your laptop. To use your laptop with your phone you need to have an Internet data plan to be able to use your phone as a modem for your laptop. These plans can run around $19.99 a month and up depending on your needs.
Connecting your laptop to the Internet is a lot easier with a PC then with a Mac. While it may seem harder with a Mac, you may find a Mac more reliable in some ways. Here is how to set it up.
Set up a ppp:
- Open network preferences
- Create a new location ect Movile this is optional
- Select show Bluetooth modem port
- Select the PPP tap and enter your network name in “service provider”
- Enter telephone number – the APM for your network or none (without quotes)
- Enter account name and password if required
Setting up the cell phone modem:
- In network preferences select Bluetooth modem tap
- Set modem to Motorola Gprs
Connecting to the Internet
- Open internet connection
- Select Bluetooth modem port
- Click connect
