Unable to Sync G1 to Bluetooth Headset

Some people have purchased T-Mobile’s G1 mobile phone with their headset.  The easiest way is to purchase the T-Mobile G1 USB Sync and 2nd battery charge cradle.  With the dock you get the docking station, one little sync pro retractable sync and charge cable and on some Duo adapter and a Lil Sync Duo adapter.

There are three ways to use your Lil Sync Duo Adapter with your phone accessories (device, Bluetooth, etc.) and or your Lil Sync Pro cable.

Use only the Pro Cable when charging your G1 phone with a PC or laptop.  This will sync and charge your phone at the same time.  If your battery is completely dead you can use the Duo with your laptop or PC to start the charge.  When it reaches 30% you can unplug the Duo and only the Pro cable to fully charge your device from a laptop or PC.

Use both cables to charge your G1 phone and BT headset or other device, such as a GPS, simultaneously from any AC/DC USB power outlet.

The Lil Sync Pro was upgraded to the USB2.0 increasing the power output.

You can’t sync one T-Mobile while charging another and you can’t sync two devices at the same time.

The G1 duo adapter is for charging only and will not sync your phone or any other device.  Check your phone and headset instruction on how to sync them (make them talk to one another).  However before you buy a headset make sure it is compatible with your G1.  Your T-Mobile dealer should have a list of compatible headsets and/or ear buds for you to choose from.  Your old BT headset may not work with the G1 Bluetooth settings.

You can purchase a Lil Sync USB automobile adapter so you can charge your phone while on the way to work.

With so many cities, states and even whole nations banning hand held use of cell phones while driving, a hands free device is more than a convenience it is a necessity.  Even with a hands free headset, you should keep your calls as short as possible.  You can’t concentrate on the road if you are talking to a family member, co-worker or customer.  Stay legal and stay safe.

Remind your teenagers of the danger of texting while driving or of taking a call without using the headset and any violation of the rules means no use of the car or cell phone for a pre-determined period of time and check their phone for texting, especially when they just started driving your car without an adult present.

Of course you must set an example and never use your mobile phone while driving without a hands free device.  If you have an emergency pull off the road and call for help on your G1 T-Mobile phone.

We really like our G1 phones and docking station.  They make life so much easier.  We have one place to charge our phones and if I have my USB charger at work, which I do a lot, I can use the docking station or use the other USB charger and the PC.
