Motorola Bluetooth Headset Directions
Do you need to work on the computer or drive for work and need to talk with a client, patient or sales contact? If so you should get a Bluetooth headset to use with your cell phone.
Maybe you have already purchased a headset for your Motorola cell phone but can’t figure out how to get the phone and headset to talk to one another.
It really isn’t a difficult task. There are just a few easy steps.
1. Press and hold the function button in the middle of a boom headset. The light will glow blue.
2. Open the boom microphone and the blue light will remain on. If not, go back and repeat set 1.
3. On your cell phone press menu then settings. Choose connection. Next select Bluetooth then click on hands free and then new device. Once a connection is made choose HS810.
You will be prompted to enter a passkey. Enter “0000” to confirm that the connection has been made. If you have set the Bluetooth to power in after the initial connection has been made your phone should automatically re-connect to the headset. To set the Bluetooth power on press menu.
Next choose settings, connections, and then Bluetooth link. Now scroll to on and press select. The screen will now read “changed power on”.
Lastly you need to test the connection. Close the headset and your phone will read “disconnected”. Open the headset and your phone should say “Bluetooth connected”.
Remember that you must have both a phone and headset that are Bluetooth enabled. My neighbor went ballistic when he couldn’t get his headpiece connected to his cell phone. When I tried to do it for him, I realized that his cell phone was an older model and he did not have a Bluetooth enabled phone.
All that you need to have is a Bluetooth headset and a cell phone. Both your device and phone should have come with instructions to perform this task, if not our directions should work just fine.
These directions are written for a Motorola phone but I have used them for pairing LG and Samsung phones. Not all cell phones can be paired to a Motorola headset and not all headsets can be paired with just any phone. Before you purchase a new headpiece or ear bud for your phone check the compatibility. Your phone store clerk should be able to tell you or can find the information you need.
With all the new bans on handheld use of a cell phone, a Bluetooth headset is no longer a status symbol but a necessity, especially if you do a lot of driving either for work or getting your kids from one activity to another. Stay safe and legal by always wearing and using your Bluetooth headset.
