LG Dare Bluetooth Stereo Headset
If you use your LG Dare for listening to music as much or more than you do for calls, you most definitely will want to get a Bluetooth stereo headset. There are several companies that manufacture these devices.
You can’t just buy a stereo headset and hook it up to any phone. Stereo capability only works with a mobile phone that can use Bluetooth A2DP.
My neighbor’s son got a Samsung SBH700. It is worn on the back of the neck with two ear buds. The sound quality is truly amazing and has easy to use controls for both calls and music. It also has great ambient noise reduction. You have eight hours of talk time and standby time can be as long as 140 hours between charges. It also comes with a travel adapter that can plug into the cigarette lighter jack in your car.
They are of course more expensive than just the standard ear bud or headpiece. The Samsung stereo headset costs about 100 dollars U.S. The Samsung stereo set can be used with other BT phones besides the Dare including a lightweight Motorola Jabra and Plantronics and others. Check out several and buy the one that you think is best and that you can afford. I just got the Samsung SBH700. I love it. It is really excellent in reducing outside noise.
When you purchase a new phone ask the clerk what stereo headset will work best with your phone. These headsets represent a considerable investment in this economy so you may want to consider a hard case for storing and transporting the BT device when not in use.
A stereo headset would make a nice graduation, birthday or holiday gift for an older teenager. You know how she always has her music system earpiece in. This LG phone and a compatible stereo headset allow her to switch between phone call and music and back again as often as she wants.
If you like to listen to music when exercising or walking the dog, consider purchasing a stereo headset and a compatible phone. That way you can take a client’s call and then go back to your music. You will be surprised by the quality of the sound and the reduction of ambient noise unlike a standard portable music delivery system. My granddaughter loves to use my Samsung when she is home on a break from college. I think she will get a new LG Dare and a stereo headset to go with it. She will have to set up her system herself because I had to have a friend do mine. Actually it was my friend’s teenage son who did mine.
If you run into problems with your stereo headset connecting to your Dare phone, ask a teen to help. They can do this stuff blindfolded.
