How to Add Bluetooth Device to Motorola Cell Phone
Bluetooth technology allows you to answer calls on your cell phone hand free via the use of a headset or ear bud. It also allows you to send photos, files and music from your phone to your PC. The process of adding a Bluetooth headpiece to their Motorola mobile phone intimidates many people. They don’t understand the terminology and are afraid they will mess it up. However it isn’t as hard as it seems.
Read the manuals/instruction sheets that come with your phone and Bluetooth microphone (headpiece or ear bud). After you have read them through begin the process of pairing or connecting your Bluetooth device to your phone. The instructions below may not be exactly like those in your manual, and if you find a difference go by what your user manual says.
Step I – Press and hold the multi-function button on your beam headset with the headset closed. The light will turn blue.
Step II – Open the microphone, the light should stay on, if not repeat step one.
Step III – Access your cell phone menu, then select settings, then connection. Choose Bluetooth, hands free and then new device. When a connection is made select H5810.
Step IV – You will be prompted to enter a passkey. Enter 0000 to verify that a connection has been achieved. Your cell phone should display “Bluetooth Connection.”
All that remains to be done is to turn the power on to the headpiece and the phone will recognize your Bluetooth. To set the Bluetooth power on press connections the Bluetooth link. Scroll to set up, go to power and choose change. Then go to on and select. Your phone screen will now read changed power on. To confirm that your headpiece and phone are connected close the headset and your phone will show disconnected. Reopen it and the headset and phone should automatically re-connect and the screen should say Bluetooth connected.
Of course all of this assumes that both your phone and microphone device are Bluetooth enabled. This is basically a general overview of how to set up the hands free use of your cell phone. This article may help you better understand the directions that come with your phone and Bluetooth headset.
When using your hands free device while driving limit your call time because you can get distracted and not give full attention to what is happening around you on the highway and that could be fatal.
Enjoy your Bluetooth enabled Motorola phone and all that it can do. Did you know that you could send photos and music from your phone to your home or office PC? But that is material for another article at another time. Watch for it.
