Can I Use 1 Bluetooth Headpiece with Two Phones
You have two cell phones, one for personal use and one used exclusively for work related calls. So do you need separate headsets for each phone? No, you can use one headset for both.
It would be great if all you had do was just press a button to make or receive a call and your headset would automatically be ready to go, but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way.
Here is my solution to the problem: Turn on the Bluetooth on one phone, pair it with the headset, then turn off Bluetooth on the first phone. Repeat the process with the second phone. Now the headset will work with either phone.
When you are ready to use either phone, power on the Bluetooth for that phone then flip open the microphone boom. It should connect with ease. Remember when you want to use the other phone power off the current phone before you turn on the second phone with the boom headset closed.
Be sure to always power off the Bluetooth on the first phone before attempting to use the other line or you may have to do a “repair” process.
Another option would be to purchase a separate headset for each phone and make sure that they are different in appearance so you won’t have to try and figure which goes with which phone.
The easiest solution would be to purchase a headset that can handle two phone lines, such as the MOT-H780 earpiece you can pair this earpiece with either two phones or a phone and a computer. To use this device with two cell phones follow these steps:
1. Power off the Bluetooth on the first phone. Turn off both the phone and earpiece.
2. Power the earpiece back on and pair with the second phone. The second phone is now the primary phone and the first is secondary.
3. Last number redial will only work with the primary phone. To redial the last number, press and hold the multi-function button for a few seconds.
The Motorola H780 earpiece will give you approximately seven hours of talk time between charges. It also does an excellent job at noise cancellation and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
Whether you are driving or working at your computer or weeding your garden you can still carry on a phone conversation with a client, your spouse or your kids.
This is an ideal solution as to how to keep track of what portion of your calls are for business and can be charged to an expense account, or whether they are personal calls that are you responsibility and have to be paid out of pocket.
