BMW 328 Bluetooth Phone Instructions
Some new BMW’s have Bluetooth built in. This makes it possible to connect your cell phone to the vehicle’s audio system. After you have paired the phone and car sound system live calls will automatically transfer from your cell phone to the car system as soon as you get into your car. You will be able to talk on the phone using the audio system.
Here is how you can set up the connection between your phone and car:
Step I – Start the car, it will go into pairing mode for two minutes after it has been started.
Step II – Go to the connection menu in your Bluetooth enabled phone and choose search for devices.
Step III – An ID will appear on your phone that starts with BMW and select this device ID.
Step IV – Enter the pass key. You only have twenty seconds to perform this task.
Step V – Click the radio display. It should let you know that the pairing was successful. Your data will now download.
Step VI – Confirm the fact your contacts have been transferred successfully and then make a test call to confirm that your contacts have been transferred.
Now all you need to do is hop in the car and turn it on. You phone is ready to go. All of your contacts are already installed into your vehicle’s sound system.
With so many communities banning the use of hand held mobile phones, it is a relief to have such an easy effortless ability to make and receive calls. Make sure that you have your manual. It will tell you how to use your built in system once your phone has been paired.
Confirm the fact that your BMW does in fact have Bluetooth capability. Just because you got a pass code with your owner’s manual doesn’t guarantee that your car has Bluetooth. If the Bluetooth feature is important for your work ask for it and make sure it is listed on the window log and in the contract. Also insist on a demonstration of the Bluetooth in your car. Not the same model but your specific vehicle.
If your car is being shipped make sure that the BT is on the invoice. Reserve the right to refuse the car if it isn’t what you asked for in writing.
