Best Bluetooth Headset
Most places in Western Europe, the U.S. and Canada have enacted laws that forbid the use of hand held cell phones while driving. This has caused the sale of headsets that allow you to answer calls without having to touch the phone.
Of course everyone wonders which headset is the best. There are many high quality headsets on the market for you to choose from.
You may be wondering what criteria can be used when shopping for a headset. While price is important, quality is more important.
Sound quality is vital. You need a headset that has noise cancellation technology or at the very least noise reduction. These either filter most of the ambient noise or block all of it. Have you ever been at a sporting event and couldn’t hear the person you were trying to talk with? The newer phones will dampen that noise so that you can have a conversation.
The absolute best Bluetooth headset that we found was the Aliph Jawbone. The ear hook and ear bud options can provide a comfortable fit for almost everyone. The Jawbone has excellent noise cancellation technology.
Did you buy a Jawbone or other headset and can’t get it to work with your phone? The first thing to do is to make sure that your phone is Bluetooth enabled. If not, none of the newer headsets will work with the phone you are currently using.
If the phone is Bluetooth enabled then go back to the instructions that came with your earpiece/headset for how to pair or sync the phone and headset. It isn’t difficult and is well worth the time taken to connect the phone to the headset so that you can talk on the phone while driving or performing any other task that requires you to have use of both of your hands.
Plantronics Voyager 855 stereo is also highly praised by users. The stereo headset allows you to get great sound while listening to music. However the sound quality is not as good as a high-end stereo headset and you have to purchase a second earbud to make it a stereo headset.
There is one other headset we consider to be among the best headsets currently available. The Samsung WEP500’s small round design makes it easier to carry with you and it is not conspicuous but the earbuds can fall out of your ears. But we love the size and performance.
These three are only a few of the many Bluetooth headsets available. I prefer the Jawbone for its fit, comfort, noise blocking, sound quality, battery life, talk time, standby time and cost. The Jawbone can be found from about 80 US dollars to approximately $150.00.
If you are going to get a headset take a look at the three mentioned here but would suggest a long hard look at the Aliph Jawbone, which is clearly one of if not the best headset available.
