Samsung Expands it Apps Store

Samsung have announced that they are expanding their application store. They plan to have apps available to Omnia II (I8000) and OmniaLITE (B7300, I329) users in Singapore, Germany, Brazil and China. Users will be able to access the applications using one click access to a vast range of games, e-books and social networking applications.

“Beginning with the global expansion of Samsung Apps, Samsung will make its application store available to owners of its upcoming flagship models. Our goal is to help everyone to enjoy rich, personalized mobile experiences, wherever and whenever they wish,” said Kanghyun Kwon, Vice President of Samsung’s Media Solution Center.

There are many software companies like Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Handmark, CrazySoft Limited, Paragon SW, Com2us, and Shazam already lined up supplying applications or will be in the near future for things such as Guitar Hero (Mobile Bus), Spiderman (Gameloft), Need for Speed (EA) and skin (Prompt).

It’s an exciting time as more and more applications and manufacturers join together to try five revenue from mobile devices. From mid-February most Samsung phones sold in these countries will come with preinstalled software to allow them access to application store.
