Portable Photo Printer
When it comes to printing out your photographs there are plenty of options out there to choose from. A few years ago it was very limited in the type of printer you could buy to do this nowadays with major manufacturers like Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Epson and Kodak all producing photo printers that are easy to carry around and compact enough to do so.
These printers are designed to help you take advantage of the convenience of digital photography. If you travel you can simply print your images out on the spot. Some of them are small enough and can easily fit into a laptop bag. They even allow you to plug your digital camera incorrectly or simply pop in the memory card and print directly from this. No longer do you need a computer in order to print directly from your camera.
One great feature that I regularly use is when printing from my mobile phone I can use Bluetooth and print directly from the phone again without the use of a computer. The majority of these portable photo printers allow you to print out impressive photographs in 4″x6″ format. Even, without the advantage of printing out at speed these printers make the convenience worthwhile.
If you are thinking of purchasing a portable photograph printer there are a couple of things you need to consider. To truly make it portable you want to make sure it comes with slots for memory cards like compact flash, memory stick, multimedia card, sd card and xd-picture card memory cards. This should cover you for the majority of memory cards that are used in digital cameras and mobile phones. Also consider purchasing a Bluetooth dongle (some printers nowadays may come with this built-in). Wireless connectivity is also another option to consider. You’ll also find that these printers now come with LCD screens which allow you to select the photographs was to print and also edit them if needed beforehand.
Because the technology changes so quickly it’s difficult for us to suggest different makes of printer that you may choose from. It’s always recommended to make sure that you research and check out what features of competitors have. Generally you’ll find features on these printers very similar. Wanting to also consider is the price of replacement cartridges and photo quality paper as this is where the real cost lives of many people look at before making a purchase.
