Garmin nuvifone G60 Out Next month in The US

AT&T in the USA and Garmin have announced the Garmin nüvifone G60. The phone is expected to be on sale at the beginning of next month. In terms of features it comes with HSDPA wireless network, has built in WiFi, 3.55-inch touch screen and a 3 megapixel camera and is a quad-band GSM phone.

Although there is no set date or any information if this will be launched in Europe at the moment some interesting features that comes preloaded with maps and millions of points of interest (POI) for North America. Just like a Sat Nav it also comes with an in-car navigation unit including a dashboard and windshield mount. Maps are stored on the device itself and you can receive turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions.

It’s expected to sell for around $300 on the AT&T network with a two-year contract. I’m sure they will have some sort of mail-in rebate, which would bring it down in price slightly. It would be interesting to see how the sells and if any network in Europe pick it up at some stage.
