HP Laser Printer

Shopping for a new laser printer can be quite daunting with so much choice out there and printers with so many features it can be quite mind-boggling to try and figure out which one is best for you. One of the major manufacturers Hewlett-Packard have a range of laser printers that start from around €100 up depending on your needs.

Some of the higher end printers can produce around 70 pages per minute if you are thinking of purchasing one of this caliber you also need to make sure that it has lots of RAM for storing files before they are printed. This is one area that many people seem to overlook.

Something else to consider is if you want to do print on both sides of the paper if you need to do this you will have to get a duplex laser printer. A few years ago you would’ve only seen a duplex on a more expensive laser printer but nowadays we are starting to see these become standard on mid range models. Depending on the model you are looking at this may be an added extra so you need to factor this type of extra into the costs.

Some of the midrange laser printers that is ideal for home for small offices can print out on average 25 pages per minute. Although these are slightly slower than the more expensive models you can still get quality that allows you to print 1200×600 or even 1200×1200, which is ideal for most general printing that people would use.

If you spend a reasonable amount of money purchasing HP printer one of the great benefits is that they also produce maintenance kits. These kits consist of roller parts, fuser units and general parts that can be replaced easily because of wear and tear. Although these can cost money the great thing about them is that they can prolong the life of your printer. I have seen many printers printing up to 300,000 copies and by simply replacing some parts keep on going.

You also need to consider the price of replacement cartridges/toner, as this is an ongoing expense that you need to be aware of and take sure that you check prices out before you purchase any printer just to ensure that you know you are going to be able to maintain the ongoing costs.
