Epson Photo Printer
The Epson printers have been leaders in photo printers for many years. They have many different models and styles to choose from. Two of these are the Epson picturmate and the stylus office. When you are looking for a new printer there are some things to keep in mind.
- Do your homework. Don’t go to the store and not know what you want.
- Do make sure that the printer you buy is compatible to your computer.
- Don’t get talked into something you don’t want or need.
- Do go into the store with a budget and don’t go over it.
I had to learn these things the hard way. When I went to buy my first printer the
only thing I knew was that I wanted an Epson, but had no idea how much they were or what features I needed. So I bought a printer instead of an all in one which is really what I needed. The next time I bought a printer I did my homework and was able to get exactly what I needed.
The two printers that I found that would be great for anyone are the picture mate and the stylus. The picturemate series is a series of Epson printers that are portable. You can print anywhere you want. It has a handle for easy carrying. This is great for people who have a lot of family functions. With the picturemate printer you can get up to 5760×720 dpi (dots per inch).
This also takes superior 4”x6” prints with a photo quality that’s unbelievable. This printer also has a 1.5” color LCD where you can choose and view digital images. This printer will accept up to 13 memory with an adaptor. With an additional Bluetooth module you can connect to a cell phone digital camera or other digital device.
The other printer from Epson is the stylus series. These printers have been on the market for years and are great printers. So far I have owned two or three and have loved all of them. They don’t jam, the print photo quality prints and the ink isn’t any more expensive then any other ink on the market. These printers can print up to 27ppm (pages per minute). Some have wireless connectivity.
This eliminates the need for wiring and all those messy cords. This printer also has laser print speed. Some models of styluses have Epson DURABrite ink. This ink is water, smudge and fade resistant and the best part is that they call Epson INKdividual ink cartridges. These ink cartridges are very economical because you only replace the ink color you’re out of and only use the colors needed for printing.
Some tips to keep in mind to keep your printer running efficiently are:
- Use only Epson approved ink.
- Use only Epson grade paper otherwise your printer may jam.
- Use compressed air and static free rag to clean your printer. I do this about every week or so to keep the dust and debris out.
