Inkjet Printer Review

Inkjet printers are probably the most popular printers on the market today. The main reason for this is probably because they are quite cheap to purchase and relatively easy to maintain. When printing to actually have a big outage over the likes of the matrix printers because the noise level that the output is relatively low also which is what they were designed to do and replace.

One thing they do offer is high-resolution printing and although not as good as a photo printer, which came out later, they can still produce high-quality photo prints. I suppose this depends on your overall needs for quality printing but the fact that they also printed in colors with of course makes a big difference.

Another advantage is that they do not need to warm up compared to laser printers which can take what seems like forever just to heat up before it actually prints. The fact that you can simply switched his arm and you’re ready to print straight away is nice.

Most of the major brands make inkjet printers like HP, Epson, Brother, Lexmark and Canon I’m also sure I’m missing a few others but you will also find that the technology used is the class and produces quality printing. You find that most of the major manufacturers will also suggest that you purchased their ink cartridges because they suggest that the quality of their ink and their printing paper is much better than anybody else can produce. There are many third party vendors out there that’s support and supply cartridges for all the major branded inkjet printers. It must also be noted that they sell these at a fraction of the cost compared to the branded ones. There are always arguments as to which is the best to go for some you’re probably better off reading some reviews on various websites see who suggest the best ones obviously you want reviews from people that have actually used them. Just make sure you purchase a cartridge that has come from a third-party supplier that you can trust.

Without me going into the statistics it’s actually been proven that inkjet printers have one of those cost per page ratings available. So this makes it much cheaper to print your documentation and photographs from the comfort of your home. Of course this is all a little bit open the year because there will be people that disputes the various aspects of this. But, you must also keep track and notes of your cost of printing when you go to buy a new printer it’s always good to understand your ongoing costs before you purchase one.

You will come across terms like PPM or page per minute which will tell you how many pages can be printed per minute easy enough to work out I guess. There are also terms like DPI, which stands for dots per inch, and basically the higher doses and better resolution you will get from the printer.

Many printers are now also coming with built-in LCD display screens this can lead you to print directly from the printer without the use of a computer. You can simply transfer files to the printer via a memory card or a USB memory stick. These are starting to become more popular and probably staged is a standard on most inkjet printers. Other ways to connect without the use of a computer are using Bluetooth and we’re also starting to see more inkjet printers come with wireless capabilities.

Using wireless you can connect from your computer without having to worry about all this cable network stuff. I know I’ve been there so many times trying to find either a serial cable or USB cable to connect to the printer in the office and to be honest it saves you having to worry about purchasing a printer with Ethernet LAN ports and trying to work out what an Ethernet cable is. I guess some of the major manufacturers are really starting to standardize across the board, which is only a good thing for us consumers.

Because of the vast range and the from model printers available its always a good guide to to make sure that you review the particular model before you make a purchase. This is obviously going to have a function in your office or home so you need to make sure that it does exactly what you want from it. You need to know whether you need any extra software are you looking for a printer with multifunction which has a built in scanner, photocopier, fax machine. Just make sure you understand exactly what you’re going to be using it for for making your purchase.

When it comes to price there are many bargains to be had out there. The price of printers is reducing overtime because the manufacturers see the benefit of the after sales of consumers purchasing cartridges and paper. This is really where they probably make most of their money and subsidizes the cost of the printers on the understanding that customers will need to purchase ink at some stage.
