What Is The Best Photo Printer
This is a good question because it probably like everything else in life comes down to what your requirements are what features you would like on the printer. One of the things that I particularly like to look for is making sure that the resolution of the printed photograph is good. We all know that most other manufacturers like HP, Canon, Epson all produce top quality printers and you can tell by reading reviews that they all produce top-quality products.
It’s really boils down to which is the solution that is perfect for your printing needs. We know that at present digital cameras are in around 10 megapixels to 12 megapixels some of course even higher but believe it or not many people do not realize that even a camera with three megapixels or four megapixels will still give you quality photos. There are many printers on the market that can print out the same size photographs that you will get from your local pharmacy. Here is a quick list of what many megapixels are required for each picture size to give you an idea of what resolution photographs should be printed out and what quality you can expect.
4 x 6″ – 2 megapixel – 1600 x 1200
5 x 7″ – 3 megapixel – 2048 x 1536
8 x 10 – 5 megapixel – 2560 x 1920
11 x 14″ – 6 megapixel – 2816 x 2112
16 x 20″ – 8+ megapixel – 3264 x 2468
As you can see from the list of both you do not require the best camera in the world to produce 4 x 6″ photographs. Of course these pictures will depend on a couple of other factors which is the quality of the image you have taken the type of printer ink and also the paper used.
You’ll find that lots of manufacturers suggest that you use their printer paper when using their photo printers. I’ve not personally read any reviews on printer paper but this is obviously an area where they can make extra money on after sales and you will find that most manufacturers will always mention quality in their product and suggest that you use this when using their printers.
No matter which brand or manufacturer you choose you need to make sure that you review the specs and make sure that the printer is exactly what you are looking for. You can find plenty of review and rating websites out there that will help point you in the right correction not matter whether this particular printer is for use at home or in the office you should check these out before you buy.
I have personally used the Epson picturemate and found them to be of excellent quality the particular model I have is quite small and can simply print out 4 x 6″ photos. These are ideal for what I want but you can find some other models especially in the HP Photosmarth range, which can produce a number of different size photographs as required. He also of course require the rights printer paper and may use more than one cartridge and sometimes require a number of cartridges which financially to make it slightly cheaper to run because if you want help of a particular color you only need to replace that color and not the complete set.
One of the basic requirements of printing out photographs is having good software. Being able to edit photographs slightly before you turn them into prints can have great advantages. Simple things like removing redeye will improve the quality of your printing and give you a more professional photograph.
No matter which type of printer you choose you really must make sure you understand the ongoing costs. It can be quite expensive to print out photographs on your own photo printer, yes they are fantastic because you can print out something almost immediately but you need to make sure that you are aware of the cost of replacement printer cartridges before you make any purchase.
