Who Uses GPS Tracking
GPS tracking has a number of uses and is something that many businesses use that are involved in transportation for example. These types of systems allow them to track their current fleet of vehicles giving them the exact location so they can monitor activity and also inform customers of the whereabouts of their particular packages. This is a great advantage to any business because it allows them to monitor the activity to help them move into profitability.
Recently I was watching something on TV where the family pet dog went missing. There where able to track him using GPS as they had a dog collar, which had a tracking device already built-in. This was really interesting to watch and see how they were able to monitor the information and then coordinates the people searching into that location.
There are many phones that now comes with GPS built-in and it’s a growing market that just seems to be getting bigger and bigger all-time. With the likes of Nokia purchasing Navteq who are one of the biggest satellite navigation map in companies in the world is obvious that they see a future in this area. Many manufacturers are now buying this service with the likes of Samsung onboard already and I guess we will see new GPS products from them in the near future.
With the advent of phones with GPS we are now seeing lots of services on to the marketplace that offer tracking GPS phones. Many people want to know how to track their GPS phone and believe it or not Google has introduced a service that allows you to use GPS and their mapping service to locate people with in your advocate group this could be for a sample friends where they all installed the software and agreed to sign up so that they can find each other. I’m sure there is a commercial advantage to this is something that we will see in the not-too-distant future.
