Wireless USB Set

Submitted by Mark Dunne on May 18, 2009 – 11:37 pmNo Comment

We chatted about wireless USB in a previous post and then it occurred to me that maybe you have not seen this before. The image above is of a wireless USB set and as you can see from the package it can have a transfer rate of up to 50 Mbps.

It’s a really interesting concept and not one that has quite taken off yet. It will be really interesting also to see is the industry embrace this wi-fi technology and starts to integrate it into products. Let’s be honest and we don’t all want dongles hanging out of our USB ports.

I think in order this wireless technology to really get off the ground pricing will definitely have to fall to reasonable levels.
