Sky Map Application for Android Phone
Here’s a quick video review off the Sky Map application from Google working on the Android mobile phone. The application is now available for in the Android marketplace to download. If you have not seen this before it looks quite simple and easy to use, if for example you want to know what a particular star is you simply point your phone up to the night sky and using GPS and compass data as well as state and time to show you a labeled map of the area you are observing.
If you want to know about a different part of the sky you just move your phone or switch it to manual mode where you can explore this yourself. If you want to locate a particular star or planets you can actually just do a normal search for a sample typing in the word Mars will help you locate this in the night sky.
