Solar Powered Netbook
This is something I have been talking about for a long time, having a laptop is great, having wireless Internet connectivity even better but having a solar powered laptop is even better. This is what the iUnika GYY is, it’s an environmentally friendly book that is completely powered by solar energy. And just before you ask it only weighs 700grams soul is completely portable.
It has a 64 GB solid-state drive and loans on a 400 MHz processor with Linux as the operating system. It also has 128 MB of RAM, which is sufficient enough to work with the operating system. It also has an 8-inch display that’s WVGA with an 800 x 480 resolution.
It’s expected to be on sale in June 2009 for around €160.
