Nokia N86 Announced
The Nokia N86 has been officially announced today at the mobile world Congress in Barcelona.
Nokia have gone with the headline “imaging at its very best” and are hoping that their new camera phone which is an 8 megapixel by the way will be in the same space as the likes of Samsung, LG and Sony Ericsson, but maybe they have forgotten about the 12 megapixel handsets that have already been announced early in the year and set for launch towards the end.
Nokia’s new 8 megapixel camera phone comes with a Carl Zeiss Tessar optical lens and boasts a shutter speed of up to 1/1000 and a f-stop range of 2.4-4.8 which will be really interesting to see the results in lowlight conditions. The camera also comes with a dual LED flash, which is a little bit different from the Xenon flash at comes with other models.
The phone as you can see from the picture has the same sliding elements as we have seen in other N-series devices like the N96. It also comes with a 8GB of internal memory.
Some of the other features on the N86 include A-GPS, 2.6-inch QVGA 230 x 320 screen, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0.
The phone is expected to sell for around €375 and is expected to be released in Q2 2009.
