Acer set to launch own-brand smartphone
Acer has said they will be launching their own branded mobile smartphone at the Mobile World Congress. The show is set to take place in Barcelona February 16-19.
The phone is said to be a variant of the Glofiish DX900 handset unveiled by E-Ten Information Systems, which was shown last year. The DX900 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and come with a 3-megapixel camera, 2.8-inch VGA touch-screen display, and dual-SIM cards.
The new phone from Acer is expected to be similar to the DX900 but will only support one SIM card. It’s believed that Acer has already started to take some orders for the phone.
