Nokia Expecting Increase in Demand
Nokia have informed thier chip suppliers to expect an increase in orders in March, this maybe a sign that they are starting to see an increase in orders and maybve a recovery.
The last quarter in 2008 was not good for Nokia with a reported 70% profit decline and the first quarter of 2009 is not looking good. But market sources are saying that Nokia have told chip suppliers that it wil increase orders in March mainly for new models expected to ship in the second quarter.
With the launch of new 3G and 3.5G products with multi-touch this could be the reason why and with the likes of Texas Instruments, Qualcomm and Synaptics are all expected to be beneficiaries of these increased orders.
