Noikia 1006 Mobile heading for the US
CES 2009 is a great show and Nokia have just announced the launch of the Nokia 1006. The 1006 is a low end phone that not really going to set the world alight with its features.
Nothing wrong with low end mobiles everybody has different needs for making calls and if that’s all you’re looking to do no point in spending more then you need on a phone. The 1006 has been developed in Nokia San Diego laboratories so it might have some extra services just for the US market when launched.
As I said already nothing it this phone will set the world on fire but you do get a speakerphone, voice memo, five hundred address book entry and maybe a couple of other small built-in apps to help wake you up and tell you what day it is. As I said low end phone but great for making call, no date is set yet for availability or pricing. I guess we’ll expect to see a similar model hit Europe to cover this price range at some stage.
