Is the Apple iPhone Nano on the way?

I’ve been reading about this for months now that Apple will release an alternative, possibly smaller iPhone onto the market. It’s been called the iPhone nano but this may not be the real name. Apple are never going to tell us about this until a launch date so Wedbush Morgan analyst Craig Berger has been doing some checks with supply chains as this is always a good place to see who’s seling what.
He cites a reliable contact in the supply chain that says in their prediction that Apple will indeed drop the iPhone Nano bomb on us in the first half of 2009 now Berger says their “contacts see a lower-cost version of the iPhone, possibly in mid 2Q.”
I wonder if Apple will announce something at the MacWorld Expo 2009 in January.
