Will The Nokia N97 be slow like my N95?
With the announcement of the Nokia N97 last week much is expected of this new phone with all the amazing features. The list of features read like a who’s-who of phone specs with it’s touch screen, WiFi, 3G data connection, 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera (with LED flash), slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 32GB of memory to name just a few.
Today we hear unconfirmed reports that the processor in the N97 will be the older ARM 11-based processor that Nokia are using in the current range of N-Series phones and some E-Series phones like the E71.
The N95 uses the ARM 11 332 MHz processor the problem I find is that the phone is a little sluggish, will this be the same with the N97 when launched? You need to remember that these reports are unconfirmed and maybe they’ll be using a different processor.
Some other rumours are saying the processor will be clocked higher than on previous Nokias. My hope is that these are just rumours I for one will not be queuing up to buy one if the only difference with this and my N95 is a touch screen.
