Nokia have acquired Symbian
While watching the Nokia World Keynote speech today they announced that they have acquired Symbian Ltd. Symbian are the software company who have developed the OS and also license this for mobile phones.
The Symbian Foundation already incorporates Nokia, AT&T, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Electronics, LG Electronics, NTT DoCoMo, Vodafone and Texas Instruments, with others joining. It is planned that as of the 1st of February 09 all Symbian employees will become employees of Nokia.
So now Nokia now owns Symbian the all Symbian employees will become employees of Nokia in 2009
