Case against Apple Dismissed
So Apple have been in court again, this time to defend a class-action lawsuit over the iPhone’s limited battery life and $86 battery replacement fee. The case was taken by Jose Trujillo who filed the claim against apple in July 2007. His complaint was that Apple didn’t explicitly mention that the battery would need replacement after some time.
The Judge Matthew F. Kennelly dismissed the suit without even going to trail, as Apple where citing the disclaimer on the iPhone’s packaging that says the iPhone’s battery has limited recharge cycles and may need to be replaced in the future.
So good news for Apple and I’m sure this will put a stop to these type’s of claims against Apple going forward.
